Aurelia Ann (commonly referred to as Ari) is an educator in English literature and composition. Ari is currently teaching at East Central College in Rolla, Missouri. Ari has previously taught at the University of North Texas (Denton, TX), El Centro Community College (Dallas, TX), and Collin College (Frisco, TX).

Ari has significant teaching experience in not only composition, but also literature courses spanning from ancient World Literature to contemporary American Literature to American Ethnic Literature. She has taught every literature class that was available to teaching fellows at UNT during her fellowship. She is also certified to teach technical writing at the collegiate level and has taught technical communication courses at three different campuses.

In addition to teaching, Ari has a PhD from the University of North Texas (UNT). Her dissertation in Xicanx Feminist Literature was written under her mentor, Priscilla Ybarra, PhD. A student of post-oppositional theory, Ari's dissertation applied post-oppositionality to the Sonoran Desert trilogy by Kathleen Alcala.

In the past, Ari has also served on the Grad Life committee at UNT, served as a community manager for Cathy Mazak’s “I Should Be Writing” facebook group and Academic Women’s Writing Collective. She was also a Writing Program Assistant Director for UNT’s first year writing program from 2015-2016.
